UK Car Insurance - Advice for Golfers
20/04/2010
A study carried out by independent financial research company Defaqto, has advised golfers to review their home and UK car insurance policies to ensure their clubs are sufficiently covered.
This comes at a time when the Masters Golf Tournament has recently been played in America and many golf fans are taking to the golf course to tee off in celebration.
Analyst Mike Powell warns that typical comprehensive car insurance provides limited protection under personal belongings, and sometimes can be too low and not enough to adequately cover a driver, let alone a full set of golf clubs.
One suggestion put forward by Powell is for golfers to ensure their golf clubs are covered from their home insurance under personal possessions; therefore their clubs will be covered when taken out of their house.
However there are car insurance policies out there with high levels of coverage, but golfers must abide by the rules of the policy, often keeping valued possessions out of sight in a locked car. It is important that golfers consider carefully about choosing their UK car insurance and to make sure they ask specific questions in order for their golf clubs to be fully covered.
